I'm so so sorry for bringing you into this unfair situation. You live in my bedroom, which is the hottest room of the house, confined there because my new roommate's cat has taken over the rest of the house and regularly attacks you. My roommates all blame you for the aggression, when you're just a frightened, bullied little girl. They yell at you when you tear at the carpet, because you want to be out. They yell and throw things at you when you escape your prison. They locked you in a cage for hours at a time with no food or water, after I left for work. My heart breaks for you little one.
And now I've discovered that while I was away they didn't feed you, or play with you, or give you water (except for the one good roommate who did when his girlfriend wasn't looking). This is unacceptable. The way you cried, and cried for hours after I returned nearly killed me. I've contacted all the friends I have, asking for their help. I've asked friends of my professors, and friends of my boyfriend's family. I need to find a home for you, at least for a little while. Until I can either graduate, and take you to our future, or until I can get out of this lease and away from these people. If I can't, I promise to surrender you, however much it may hurt. Because you don't deserve this sad life. You're the sweetest and softest kitty I've ever had the honor of nuzzling.
I'm so sorry.
Note-To-Catters: Please, if any of you are, or know of someone around the New York State area who can foster Velvet, I would be so thankful. I hate to ask the internet, but I'm desperate for a solution that doesn't end in parting with her forever. I don't have much money, but I would scrape together anything if it meant a miracle might happen.
I'm so sorry to bother you all.
You guys. Seriously. I've been in tears by your generosity. Thank you, from the depths of my heart. Velvet gives you fuzzy hugs.
Captainsblog suggested giving you info, so here we go:
Velvet is a one year old female, spayed, not declawed. I imagine kids would be fine, and possibly dogs? She never minded dogs at the vet, other than to hiss at a particularly annoying one. She's up to date on her shots and boosters and has no diseases.
As a thank you, please consider (for now) these pictures:
